Terms of purchase

Last updated: [date to be added at launch]

1. Seller

Handeland Fashion, a personal project run by Ruben Handeland, Stavanger region, Norway. There is no registered company behind the website today, and no payment is taken through it. Contact: post@handeland.fashion. These terms apply once goods start being sold to consumers via the website, in line with the Norwegian Consumer Purchases Act (forbrukerkjøpsloven) and the Right of Withdrawal Act (angrerettloven). Until then, a preorder is only a non-binding expression of interest with no payment - see the preorder section below.

2. Preorders - what they mean

A payment solution is not set up yet. A preorder is therefore a reservation of interest in an upcoming product, not a completed purchase - no payment is taken when you preorder. The actual purchase agreement is only entered into once payment has been completed through a payment solution (e.g. Stripe or Vipps) and you've received an order confirmation with price, delivery and payment details. You can ask to have a preorder cancelled at any time before payment is introduced, at no cost.

3. Prices and payment

All prices are shown in Norwegian kroner (NOK) and include VAT where applicable. Once a payment solution is in place, accepted payment methods and any shipping costs will be clearly shown before payment is completed.

4. Delivery

Delivery time for preordered items depends on production and will be given as accurately as possible when you order. We'll send you updates by email along the way.

5. Right of withdrawal (14 days)

For purchases in standard sizes (e.g. XS-XXL) you, as a consumer, have a full 14-day right of withdrawal from when you receive the item, in line with the Right of Withdrawal Act. You can exercise this right by notifying us at post@handeland.fashion before the deadline runs out. You cover the return cost yourself unless otherwise agreed.

If we offer garments in the future that are sewn or fitted entirely to your individual measurements (made-to-order tailoring), section 22(e) of the Right of Withdrawal Act may exempt such items from the right of withdrawal, because they are “made to the consumer's specifications”. This would be clearly stated for the relevant product before purchase - standard sizes (XS-XXL) are not considered this kind of custom manufacturing, and carry the full right of withdrawal described above.

6. Complaints (statutory guarantee)

You have the right to claim on defects in the item under the Consumer Purchases Act, normally for up to 2 years (5 years for items intended to last significantly longer). Get in touch as soon as you discover a defect.

7. Personal data

How personal data is handled in connection with a purchase is described in our privacy policy.

8. Disputes

Complaints can be directed to the Norwegian Consumer Authority and the Consumer Council (Forbrukertilsynet and Forbrukerrådet, forbrukerradet.no). For cross-border consumer purchases within the EU/EEA, the EU's Online Dispute Resolution platform (ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr) can be used.
